HISTORY

Join us for the 27th Annual Charity Pig Roast
Founders of the Pig Roast Doug and Gail Hill
never thought back in 1984 that the event would have come to be what it is
today. The event, originally began in the middle of the Coosa River at Minnesota
Bend, a popular hangout for boaters. Since then the event has moved to what is
now River Country Campground, then up the road to another location about a mile
away, then to the Gadsden City Boat Docks, and now has grown so large we have
moved to Moragne Park for more accommodating space.
Throughout the history of the Charity Pig Roast our sponsors and supporters have
helped so many of Etowah Counties underprivileged children in the past years.
